Enhance Customer Relationships With CRM

Put the customer at the center of everything you do. Here’s how the right CRM system empowers your team to give customers what they need when they need it.

Businesses grow by increasing revenue. And what increases revenue? It’s not just great employees or efficient systems or developing products that people want, though those are all necessary to a successful business. Customers increase revenue. If you have no one to sell to, if you can’t find a market for your products, nothing else matters. And since finding new customers is both difficult and costly, you’ll want to build good relationships with the customers you find so they come back again and again.

The customer, and your relationship with them, should be the focus of everything you do. The way to ensure that all of your growth efforts are focused on customer needs is to build your business around a customer relationship management system.

CRM systems streamline all of your customer interactions, pulling everything together into one central location so that your entire team is working with the same information, focusing sales and marketing efforts in ways that are most relevant to the customer. From this central location, you can organize all of your contacts and extract and analyze data for more effective sales and marketing communications. You can track all communication so that no one slips through the cracks. And you can automate marketing tasks for more targeted and effective marketing campaigns.

Track Interactions With Customers and Leads

A CRM system gives you the ability to sort contacts according to a number of different criteria, whether it’s zeroing in on demographic data or separating marketing-qualified leads from sales-qualified leads. A spreadsheet can also do that, but a CRM can do far more, giving you insight into who interacted with an ad, who came to your site through an email, which email list they are subscribed to, or which products they purchased in the past. The data analytics capabilities of some CRM systems can improve collaboration and communication between teams. For example, the right CRM can help sales and marketing teams decide if a marketing-qualified lead should be elevated to sales-qualified status.

Organize and Automate Marketing Tasks

With all of this data in hand, you can move leads to the appropriate marketing lists so that the right leads get the right information at the right time, whether that’s a prospecting sequence, a sales sequence, or a nurture sequence. This greater level of personalization results in better service and more conversions.

When marketing is organized through a CRM, there will be no worry about a member of your team being left out of the loop or different salespeople giving leads conflicting information. The system will track meetings, phone calls, emails, inquiries, purchases. All of that information is accessible to your whole team, so no matter who is working on an account, they all have access to the same information and can provide the same quality of service.

Website and Social Media Integrations

Some CRM systems integrate with your website, bringing in data from forms as well as behavioral and analytical data. And you can not only schedule and manage social media posts from your CRM, you can also monitor social media activity. Customer comments, questions, and feedback, no matter what channel it comes through, is gathered in one place, ensuring consistent, quick responses from customer service.

In addition, the data you gather from these various customer touchpoints gives you a clearer picture of what’s working in marketing and what’s not. You’ll see which social media posts are gaining traction, which web pages are getting visits, and which emails are getting read. In the end, your customer relationships will become stronger as you learn who your customers are, which messages are resonating, and how they interact with your brand.

Organized, Centralized, Automated

With a CRM system, your whole team will be on the same page rather than a bunch of cobbled-together systems—this spreadsheet, that spreadsheet, this other email chain, that website analytics dashboard. You’ll have a single source of truth for all customer-related questions. You won’t be marketing through generic messages sent to a nebulous group of customers, all with different needs and pain points. A CRM system gives you insight into each customer so that you can give them exactly what they need, when they need it.

There is a CRM system out there for just about every business. We’re a technology-agnostic company. Whether it’s HubSpot, Keap, Odoo, or some other system, we’ll help you assess your needs and find the balance of features and investment (in both time and money) that is right for your business.
