What is a Buying Committee

Andrea Hill
Published: 25 November 2022
A buying committee is the group of stakeholders at a target account that has influence on B2B purchases.

A buying committe is a  group of employees at a targeted account (TAL) that have been identified as the people to influence in an Account Based Marketing (ABM) strategy. The concept of a Buying Committee is important because it recognizes that multiple people in any business have influence on the ultimate purchase or retention of business products, services and technologies. Buying committee members can include check-writers, budget-managers, executives, influencers, blockers and skeptics, legal, HR, and users.
